While this site is still under development, it's processes are active and working. Currently there is no way to save your work on my server, but it is fully functional offline. If you are actively working on a project, remember to keep the page open or else you will lose your work.
I started learning HTML, CSS, and JS in at attempt to expand my skills and possibly make a career transition. As a 'proof of concept' for my resume I decided to make this project. I thought a project should display concepts that I've learned, while also being a useful tool. Further, I wanted to build something that would expand my knowledge of web design. With those ideas in mind, I decided to make a website that will help users create a color palette for their websites.
While the site acts as any normal palette builder would, the main concept revolves around extracting palettes from images. This concept came from a random idea one day to make a webpage based around the palette of an existing image. I used the dropper tool to pick the colors I wanted from the image and thought "Wow this is exhausting... Can this be automated?" Well, sure enough, it can be! Now when you upload an image, my program will attempt to extract the colors from the image and insert them into a palette. From there, you will be able to view each colors Hex, RGB, HSL and CMYK (For those of you who work with print) values.
Image you are building a website for an existing cafe. The cafe already has a brand and a color palette that they use in-house. With my site, you can go to the cafe, snap a few photos of their brand, logo, or general surrounding, and quickly develop and palette for the site that will match their pre-existing theme.
I am actively working on this project in my freetime, improving on or adding new features to make the site more useful. Here are some additions that will be coming soon:

Please feel free to let me know what you think of this site, report problems, and given general critisms. As the main purpose of this project is to learn, all thoughts are welcome and greatly appreciated!
